ECG SeaSurf Bug Reporter now supports Android

The ECG SeaSurf Bug Reporter previously supported Linux and Windows versions of the software. Β But I am now pleased to announce that Android support has came to the bug reporter, as well as private reporting for all SeaSurf-supported Operating Systems.

Report for Windows and Linux at coolchasgamer.wordpress.com/seasurf-bugs.

Report for Android by visiting coolchasgamer.wordpress.com/seasurf-bugs/android-bugs.

It is also worth noting that feedback responses are not supported with private reporting.

ECG SeaSurf for Windows 2017 Update Pack 1 (February 2017) will use the .NET Framework 4.6.2

ECG SeaSurf 1.0 for Windows has now been renamed to ECG SeaSurf for Windows 2017, and 1.1’s upcoming release has been postponed for ECG SeaSurf 2017 Update Pack 1, Β coming some time in February.

ECG SeaSurf 2017 previous releases used Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2. If you are not a developer, you do not need to know about .NET Framework, but if you are, you may want to know about it.

ECG SeaSurf 2017 Update Pack 1 uses the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2. There are not many differences, but it may be something you notice.

It also contains a few tweaks that may not be noticeable, but are still worth noting anyway.

WebNet – a limited version of ECG SeaSurf for Windows

I have been thinking today, what should I develop after SeaSurf 1.1 (February 2017) is released. I was thinking a lot about people still using old Operating Systems, and for support with ECG SeaSurf you must be running at least Windows Vista SP2 or later.

For people using older OSes, SeaSurf may still work but you won’t recieve help for it. You may still use the web browser, but it won’t be fully supported.

I feel sorry for the people who use older OSes, either at Home, Work or School. So, over the next few months, I will be developing a more-limited version for those older Operating Systems. It will still work on newer OSes, but SeaSurf works better with new OSes.

SeaSurf will still be developed at the same time as WebNet.

WebNet will be developed and updated until at least 2023, and then you will probably of upgraded your OS version by then!

Now that ECG SeaSurf has been released for Windows, you may encounter serious bugs. Don’t wait for me to fix them. Be the first to report them at coolchasgamer.wordpress.com/seasurf-bugs. If someone else has already reported the bug, then you can vote: are you encountering the bug, have you found a solution, or have you never experienced the bug before.

Here is how to report a bug:

Comment on the post: tell me what you are experiencing.

Your comment should be approved if it accepts the guidelines for reporting bugs, as well as the normal comment guidelines as well.

Bug Reporting guidelines:

Explain in a friendly manner.

Has someone else already reported the bug? If so, then your report will not be approved. To tell the person that reported the bug first that you have encountered it too then vote on the poll about that bug.

Remember to go with the Commenting Guidelines

too!

Enjoy!
